Philippe did an excellent job refacing my Otto Link metal tenor mouthpiece. Very attentive, he really knew how to advise me and put my request into words. And these words turned into a work of art. The result is truly incredible. My mouthpiece has become much easier to play, from low to high, and I no longer have any problems with my reeds. All this while keeping the original sound which was my main concern. From an aesthetic point of view, it's a resurrection, a real little gem!!! (he is pictured on the Facebook site, go see them...). I am really happy with the result and can only recommend Becs d'Autan. I founded “Les Becs d'Autan ” on the premise that the mouthpiece is the No. 1 determining element in a saxophonist's sound. I see the mouthpiece and reed as the “vocal cords of the instrument”...

As such, the mouthpiece requires very special attention. This is what I offer saxophonists with the mouthpieces I manufacture without compromise, and my refacing/repair services on mouthpieces sent to me by musicians.

I've combined my skills in precision mechanics and CAD, with the in-depth development of my own saxophone sound that I've been carrying out for several years, to understand and master how mouthpieces work. I also rely on the meticulous analysis of several hundred vintage mouthpieces, and on numerous acoustic tests and opinions from saxophonists.

My goal? To bring you exceptional playability, optimum comfort, a rich sound, and to enable you to express your own sound and feelings in music freely...
